Malaysia’s busiest domestic airport, SkyPark Terminal, achieved another milestone when it became the first airport in Malaysia to collaborate with South East Asia’s leading ride hailing service, Grab. The agreement was signed at a Press Conference at the Peugeot Lounge at SkyPark Terminal by Yg. Bbhg Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director of SkyPark Terminal, and Jaygan Fu, Grab Malaysia’s Country Head.
The two household names entered into a 4-year agreement that will make the commute for travellers from SkyPark Terminal to their preferred destinations much more convenient. With this agreement, travellers will be able to book their Grab rides even before they leave the Arrivals Hall through a Grab kiosk, and after a mere couple of minutes, be on their way to a destination of their choosing.
“This collaboration will add value to SkyPark Terminal’s overall offering to our guests and make their commute to and from SkyPark Terminal much more convenient. Over the years we have seen our footfall increase consistently and with our projections for 2017 showing a continuation of this positive growth, partnering with Grab will allow us to meet this growing demand,” said Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director of Subang SkyPark Sdn Bhd.

As part of the fanfare, Grab also took the opportunity to kick off their latest service – GrabCar (6-seater). “We have had several enquiries especially from travellers for a larger car, therefore, in response and to cater to their convenience, we are excited to launch our GrabCar (6-seater) to address their travelling needs,” added Fu.
Fu went on to add that to mark the partnership with Subang SkyPark Terminal, exclusively from December 21, 2016 till January 31, 2017, Grab is offering a special promotion of RM10 off 2 GrabCar (6-seater) rides to/from Subang SkyPark Terminal regardless if passengers book via cash or card. About SkyPark Terminal
Officially launched by the then Deputy Prime Minister and now Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak on 28 October 2009, the RM45 million project witnessed the rebirth of a heritage airport commonly referred to as Subang Airport or Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. Catering to the growing industry of private aviation, it also serves as a hub to community airlines, being the main base for domestic commercial turbo-prop operators, Firefly, and Malindo Air. The convenient city airport with its ultra-modern sophisticated architecture and fully equipped state-of-the-art facilities and services is now fast becoming an attractive lifestyle destination, catering to the large residential and working base surrounding it, offering an outstanding choice selection of dining, shopping and service and leisure outlets sans traffic jams and parking space hassles. Since its inception of handling 300,000 passengers in 2008, SkyPark passenger numbers has increased tenfold to 3million passengers in mid-2015. By year 2020, this figure is anticipated to hit the 5 million mark. This aviation hub is less than 30 minutes by car from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, hence making it the ideal gateway to Kuala Lumpur city. For more information, please visit http://subangskypark.com/
